Solar cell system is installed at SmiCut
A solar cell system of 36 kW has been installed on the roof of SmiCut. It consists of 120 monocrystalline panels of 300W and the total installation area is 200 m2.
The panel type is the most efficient available on the market. The plant is estimated to provide an annual production of 34,000 kWh, which is a large part of the energy that SmiCut uses in its production. During the summer months with long days and many hours of sunshine, the solar cells will provide an excess of energy. This surplus of electricity is sold on to the electricity companies, which in turn pass it on to the community.
